I’ve had the privilege of working with the iconic jazz venue SFJAZZ on multiple projects as they work to improve the digital experience for their users. Up first: SFJAZZ needed a way to display their detailed performance themes by month, instead of leaving it up to users to make the connection between themes without guidance. The result is an engaging template that displays performance information in a new and more encompassing way.

With the ups and downs of the pandemic, arts venues had to adapt to unusual circumstances and figure out ways to still connect with their audiences. SFJAZZ need a framework to build out a digital library of their digital events, including complex logic for ticketing users for live, on-demand, and archived online shows, and I led discovery workshops, did research, and worked iteratively to come up with a solution for this new product.

SFJAZZ wanted to audit their purchase path to see where they could improve the checkout process for their audiences. I recommended solutions and best practices, and created a simpler, shorter, more streamlined purchase path that would result in more conversions and less abandoned carts.

Finally, SFJAZZ wanted to improve their membership pages to make it easier for users to compare prices and benefits. Since they are increasingly producing online concerts, they also needed a way to sell access to their digital content. The result is a couple of templates that are unique, engaging, and make it simpler for potential members to make choices about which membership is right for them.
